How to Prepare for Your Service Project
Service Saturday is a large-scale service project where nearly every incoming freshman at Utah Tech will be giving back to the Southern Utah Community! As such, it is important that you are prepared and know what to expect:
- Check the chart below to find your Trailblazer Connection sections assigned project. Note the check in location and time and the approximate end time. Projects will take place in the event of light to moderate rain. Outdoor projects will be rescheduled in the event of severe weather or flood warnings.
- Eat breakfast before you check in.
- Bring a filled water bottle.
- Wear closed-toe, lace-up shoes and comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty.
- While the morning is cooler, August in St. George is hot. Sunglasses, hats, loose-fitting clothes, and sunscreen are recommended. Tall socks and/or long pants will help protect your legs from insects and other scrapes.
Locations and times may change due to weather, community partner needs/availability, or unforeseen circumstances. Changes will be updated and communicated as soon as possible.
